The Sentence: 

    When we speak or write we use words. normally we use following words in group like. A man is reading.Such group of words which make sense is called Sentence.

Types of Sentences: 

Following are the basic types of sentences.

    1. Declarative Sentences.

            Declarative sentence is also called as Assertive sentence. These sentence gives information about fact, opinion and belief. This sentence is used most commonly in writing. This sentence ends with full stop.

We can use declarative sentence of any length. Though the length of declarative group of words varies, this group of words also contains subject and predicate. 

Examples:

                 1. He sat on a bench.

                 2. He always gives his best effort in the team.

                3. I like him for his intensity.

                4. Alex is a good baseball player.

                5. He is a good leader.

    2. Interrogative Sentences.

                Interrogative sentences are those sentences which asks direct question. it always ends with a question mark.  Interrogative sentences allow you to gather information and clear up confusion as well as engage in interesting conversations with others.

Examples:

                 1. Where are you going?

                 2. Why are you crying?

                3. Do you know her?

                4. What is going on?

                5. how are you?

    3. Exclamatory Sentences.

                The sentence which expresses excitement, disgust, admiration, shock, or sorrow, etc. is called an exclamatory sentences. These sentences punctuate with exclamatory sign (!) in the middle or at the end of sentence.

Examples:

                 1. Hurrah! We are going to Miami.

                 2. How disgusting it becomes when he opens his mouth!

                3. How gorgeous the dress is!

                4. What a plunge!

                5.  What a nice car you have!

4. Imperative Sentences.

                 In imperative sentences we give advice or instructions; we can also express a request or command. These kinds of sentences are also known as directives because these sentences provide direction to whoever is being addressed.

Examples:

                   1. Please have a seat.

                 2. Be quiet.

                3. Enjoy yourselves.

                4. Watch out! 

                5. Close you eyes.
